Religious Education is a big part of our curriculum and school day and gives us the chance to think about and reflect on the world around us. Each morning we share Collective Worship together using a story from the world or prayer as our focus of discussion and reflection.

We explore Religion through a variety of ways using stories, drama and music to develop our understanding and knowledge.

This half term we have been learning all about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, The children have learnt about Jesus' choice of his first disciples or friends in the story of The Fishermen. The children have also listened to the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and thought about how they could welcome Jesus. They have also learnt that Jesus died on Good Friday and that God ressurected on Easter Sunday.

Next half term we will finish this topic by looking at the importance of prayer. Additionally we will explore the Parable of The Good Samaritan and reflect on its meaning.

Palm Sunday

This week the children heard the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. The children created their own palm leaves and reenacted the story through role play.
