Gardening club will run from spring half term until autumn half term 2016 on a Monday after school. 3.15pm-4.15 pm and is open to KS1 & KS2 children.

Sowing/Planting/Harvesting/Eating

Green fingered children are given the opportunity to cultivate their own vegetables in one of our six raised beds or greenhouses.

They are able to sow, nurture and harvest a variety of vegetables; including potatoes, carrots, beans, cabbage, tomatoes and  lettuce, to name but a few. And learn how to use the necessary garden tools and equipment safely. Also children will explore a range of growing techniques,The  organic vegetables are harvested in the autumn and used in the school kitchens by Annette our school cook. The school is currently working towards the Food For Life Silver award.
