30 hours per week (term time only)

Permanent & fixed term contract available (Fixed term contract will initially run until

31st March 2022 subject to the future budgetary & operational needs of the school.)

 

 We are looking to appoint Educational Teaching Assistants to join our team of hardworking, friendly and supportive staff. We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic, caring and creative & also able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of our pupils in school.

The successful candidate will also actively support the Mission Statement and the Ethos of our Catholic Primary School.

The ideal candidate will have training and experience in the following:

  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Have training or experience in Makaton, Phonics, EYFS or other school specific experience and/or qualifications.
  • Have some knowledge or previous experience with Special Educational Needs students and have a flexible approach to working with a wide range of children with varying needs.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
  • Provide support to pupils, teachers and the school, helping to cater for their day-to-day needs
  • Work proactively as part of a team
  • Support, recognise and use positive behaviour handling and de-escalation strategies
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
  • Be a positive role model to pupils, setting high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Encourage pupils to engage with activities and provide both written and verbal feedback on their progress
  • Work effectively with the classroom teacher to promote a positive learning environment
  • Supervise pupils on trips, visits and out of school activities
